In many regions of Switzerland, there are stray cats. They give birth to kittens twice a year and usually, these kittens also become stray. Nobody takes care of this situation and finally, cats in such colonies are often killed cruelly.
Therefore, it is not enough to feed those cat colonies. Real animal protection means to catch stray cats, neuter them and, if possible, release them in their original territories. The Susy Utzinger Animal Protection Trust continuously supports active animal lovers who plan neutering projects for cat colonies.
We have recently made available guidelines and instructions for cat neutering projects on our website. We are planning to publish these instructions in a brochure in 2010. (Only available in German)
