A good animal protector is an animal protector with specialised knowledge!

In animal protection campaigns, the animal protectors from the SUST can find themselves confronted with every conceivable task. The better the individual team member is trained and prepared, the more can be achieved for the protection and rescue of animals by the team.

This is why the SUST continually organises seminars on various topics. On 20 February 2010, an extensive practice seminar was held at the ACR veterinary practice in Winterthur-Töss, in the canton of Zurich. Dr. Gabriela Ehrismann and Janina Werner, both veterinarians, provided an introduction for active animal welfare assistants to various important topics and tasks which might challenge assistants on duty.
