Help animals

The activities of SUST

All over the world, countless animals in overcrowded shelters live sadly or struggle for their survival in wild colonies. Day after day, even today, animals that have become inconvenient are still abandoned, deported or mistakenly kept for lack of better knowledge. The Susy Utzinger Animal Welfare Foundation contributes with effective means to the fact that animal suffering can be reduced or even prevented sustainably.

This animal welfare work is based on four pillars:

1. Competence Centre Animal Shelter: Animal shelters become high-quality transition stations for homeless animals, where animals are kept and promoted in a way that is appropriate for their species and finally transferred to good new places.

2. Neutering campaigns: Braking the animal misery

3. Education and training of specialists: Specialists are given the opportunity to optimise their knowledge and improve animal welfare.

4. Education of the population: love of animals with heart and mind

These four elements form the important basis for sustainable animal welfare projects.

Those animals that are not yet able to benefit from the effects of this reconstruction work and have been born into a world where they are not wanted need the emergency aid of SUST.

Roxy gets help!

February 2024

Little Roxy is just six months old and already a "Swiss worry-kitten". She lives on a farm in the canton of Lucerne and is well looked after there, but unfortunately there is no money for veterinary treatment for the stable cats.
- as is so often the case - there is none.
Even though Roxy is currently paralyzed, the veterinary practice in Rothenburg gives her a good chance of making a full recovery. No fractures were found during the x-ray and the blood values were also normal. We have therefore decided that Roxy should be given a chance. Who can help us cover the veterinary costs of around CHF 500?
Every Swiss franc we receive with the note "Roxy" will be used for Roxy's vet bill. If we receive more donations than CHF 500 for Roxy, we will use the "surplus" to help other Swiss " worry-kittens".
Roxy is currently receiving strong painkillers and anti-inflammatories. According to the vet's diagnosis, the paralysis has neurological causes as a result of trauma and is very probably reversible.
Thank you very much in advance for any support!
PS. All cats from this farm are currently being neutered as part of a neutering campaign financed by the SUST.

Update: Thank you very much for the following donations in favor of Roxy's treatment:
