Help animals

The activities of SUST

All over the world, countless animals in overcrowded shelters live sadly or struggle for their survival in wild colonies. Day after day, even today, animals that have become inconvenient are still abandoned, deported or mistakenly kept for lack of better knowledge. The Susy Utzinger Animal Welfare Foundation contributes with effective means to the fact that animal suffering can be reduced or even prevented sustainably.

This animal welfare work is based on four pillars:

1. Competence Centre Animal Shelter: Animal shelters become high-quality transition stations for homeless animals, where animals are kept and promoted in a way that is appropriate for their species and finally transferred to good new places.

2. Neutering campaigns: Braking the animal misery

3. Education and training of specialists: Specialists are given the opportunity to optimise their knowledge and improve animal welfare.

4. Education of the population: love of animals with heart and mind

These four elements form the important basis for sustainable animal welfare projects.

Those animals that are not yet able to benefit from the effects of this reconstruction work and have been born into a world where they are not wanted need the emergency aid of SUST.

International Cat Day

August 2021

Today is International Cat Day! We all love our four-legged paws and would probably do anything for them, so that they are well. But on the occasion of today's day we would also like to point out the suffering of many cats, which is unfortunately still enormous - both in Switzerland and in many other countries. Every day countless kittens are born that no one wants and that have to fight for their survival on their own. To get to the root of this problem, we regularly carry out cat neutering campaigns in Switzerland and in many other countries. It has been proven that neutering is the only sustainable method to reduce the overpopulation of the countless street cats (and of course dogs) in the long term and in an animal-friendly way.

Would you also like to get involved on the occasion of this year's World Cat Day for the many velvet paws, which are not as well off as our Büsis at home? Then we would be very happy about a donation for our crowdfunding "Cat neutering in Switzerland". In this way, you too can make a significant contribution to ensuring that fewer unwanted kittens are born and have to suffer. Every contribution, no matter how small, counts and is an important step towards the successful completion of the crowdfunding (we still need 44% to complete the crowdfunding). Here you can find all information about our cat neutering crowdfunding in Switzerland (also via QR code on the picture): https://www.susyutzinger.ch/.../Katzenkastrationen-Schweiz
