Help animals

The activities of SUST

All over the world, countless animals in overcrowded shelters live sadly or struggle for their survival in wild colonies. Day after day, even today, animals that have become inconvenient are still abandoned, deported or mistakenly kept for lack of better knowledge. The Susy Utzinger Animal Welfare Foundation contributes with effective means to the fact that animal suffering can be reduced or even prevented sustainably.

This animal welfare work is based on four pillars:

1. Competence Centre Animal Shelter: Animal shelters become high-quality transition stations for homeless animals, where animals are kept and promoted in a way that is appropriate for their species and finally transferred to good new places.

2. Neutering campaigns: Braking the animal misery

3. Education and training of specialists: Specialists are given the opportunity to optimise their knowledge and improve animal welfare.

4. Education of the population: love of animals with heart and mind

These four elements form the important basis for sustainable animal welfare projects.

Those animals that are not yet able to benefit from the effects of this reconstruction work and have been born into a world where they are not wanted need the emergency aid of SUST.

The miracles of the SUST-Tierwaisen-Hospitals Galati, Rumänien

A christmas tale No. 1

I would like to start by saying that our work here is so enriching. This is only a small part of the before and after stories we have experienced in SUST OAH Galati. We already feel the spirit of Christmas and want to pass on the joy!

With heartfelt greetings,
the team of the OAH Galati, Romania

Story number one:

This poor soul was found in Hanul Conachi. This is a village 50 km from the city of Galati, from where we get many patients. He was in a very bad condition, probably he had been hit by a car. He needed immediate intensive medical care.
Our entire OAH team fell in love with him from day one, so you can imagine our joy when it became apparent that he would recover quickly. We were sure that he had reached his first stage goal, and the next followed when someone offered him a home forever. It was hard when I held him in my arms for a long time for the last time. I really hope that he will never suffer again, that he will get a lot of love and always enough food from now on. It is a miracle - as are all our cases at the SUST Animal Orphans Hospital.

Thank you very much for your support!
