SUST has no budget for advertising or marketing. SUST donors and patrons are a valuable support, earned organically and through trust. The Animal Welfare Foundation uses a modest infrastructure that adapts to its sustainable animal welfare work.

The SUST stands for animal welfare professionals who work on the front lines of sustainable, targeted and needs-oriented animal welfare on the front lines.

The SUST dedicates itself with passion expertise and experience to the protection and welfare of animals. This focus makes it possible to develop and implement its own projects projects that have a positive impact on the lives of animals. This commitment to animal welfare is a strong driving force behind the work of SUST.

With a flat organizational structure, SUST is able to act in an efficient and agile manner. Decisions can be made quickly, enabling animal welfare professionals to respond quickly to new developments and urgent needs in the field of animal welfare.

SUST appreciates the importance of quick decisions and values short lines of communication, especially in animal welfare, where rapid interventions can often save lives. In this way, it ensures that decisions can be made promptly to help animals in need.

SUST maintains long-term partnerships both in Switzerland and in many other countries. By working closely together, SUST can achieve greater impact with its partners and leverage synergies to bring about long-term change in animal welfare.

Partner animal shelters, partner veterinarians and organizations in Switzerland and many other countries are in constant contact with SUST: meetings, visits on site as well as jointly conducted missions ensure SUST's high quality standards.

From volunteers to veterinarians: The SUST offers a step-by-step expansion of specialized knowledge. All participants are only deployed after they have successfully completed appropriate further training or after a carefully clarified level of knowledge.

SUST is an independent and non-profit animal welfare foundation, which finances all of its animal welfare activities through donations and legacies and receives no funds  from the public purse. It does not belong to any head organization or other organizations. The foundation is under the supervision of the federal government. The annual accounts and the activity report are audited annually by the ESA (Swiss national foundation supervisory authority).

In order to be able to finance its projects in the long term, SUST attaches great importance to forward-looking financial planning. This includes careful budgeting and ensuring a sustainable financial basis for its projects and activities.

SUST's volunteer Board of Trustees is composed of a diverse group of neutral members who bring proven expertise and experience from their fields to animal welfare. The open exchange of ideas and perspectives allows SUST to develop innovative approaches and ensure that its activities achieve the best benefits for animals.
