5. Analysis Tools and Advertising

Google Analytics
This website uses functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies". These are text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
The storage of Google Analytics cookies is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior in order to optimize both its web offering and its advertising.
Further information and the applicable data protection provisions of Google can be found at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en-GB&gl=de and at https://marketingplatform.google.com/about/analytics/terms/us/. Google Analytics is explained in more detail under this link https://marketingplatform.google.com/intl/en_uk/about/.

IP anonymization
We have activated the IP anonymisation function on this website. This will cause your IP address to be cut by Google within Member States of the European Union or in other countries party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before being transmitted to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide the website operator with other services relating to website and Internet use. The IP address transmitted by your browser in the context of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.

Browser Plugin
You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.

Google AdWords und Google Conversion-Tracking
This website uses Google AdWords. AdWords is an online advertising program of Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States (“Google”).
In the context of Google AdWords we use the so-called conversion tracking. When you click on an ad served by Google, a cookie is set for conversion tracking. Cookies are small text files that the Internet browser places on the user's computer. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used to personally identify users. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognize that the user has clicked on the ad and has been redirected to this page.
Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies cannot be tracked through the websites of AdWords customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers see the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, you will not receive any information that personally identifies users. If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can object to this use by easily deactivating the Google Conversion Tracking cookie via your Internet browser under User Settings. They are then not included in the conversion tracking statistics.
The storage of “conversion cookies” is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise both his website and his advertising.
For more information about Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking, please see Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?gl=de&hl=en-GB.
You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or generally and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. When cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be limited.

Google Remarketing
This website uses the remarketing function of Google Inc. This function makes it possible to display targeted advertisements to website visitors within the Google advertising network. A so-called "cookie" is stored in the browser of the website visitor in order to recognize the visitor when he visits websites that belong to the Google advertising network. On these pages, the visitor can be presented with advertisements that refer to content that the visitor has previously viewed on websites that use Google's remarketing function.
According to its own information, Google does not collect any personal data during this process. If you nevertheless do not wish to use Google's remarketing function, you generally have the option of deactivating it. You can do this by making the appropriate settings at https://www.google.com/settings/ads. Alternatively, you can also deactivate the use of cookies for targeted advertising via the advertising network initiative by following the instructions at https://www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp.

Google reCaptcha
Our goal is to secure our website in the best possible way. One service we use for this purpose is Google reCaptcha, a service to protect against bots and spam on forms on the website. This service uses cookies, which transfers data to Google. The following data may be collected in the process:
●    IP address
●    Operating system
●    Mouse behavior
●    Date
●    Language
If you visit our website and give your consent, this data is automatically transmitted to Google. The legal basis therefore consists of your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. Information on how you can prevent data collection can be found in the Cookie Policy.

This page uses so-called web fonts provided by Google for the uniform display of fonts. When you call up a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into its browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly.
For this purpose, the browser you are using must connect to Google's servers. This gives Google knowledge that our website has been accessed via your IP address. Google Web Fonts are used in the interest of a uniform and appealing presentation of our online offers. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR.
If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font will be used by your computer.
You can find more information about Google Web Fonts at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq?hl=en and in Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en-GB.

Google Tag Manager
For our website, we use the Google Tag Manager of the company Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). Google Tag Manager itself does not store any data or set cookies, but acts as an organizational tool with which we can set up website tags centrally.

Google Maps
This page uses the map service Google Maps via an API. The provider is Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
To use the functions of Google Maps it is necessary to save your IP address. This information is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The provider of this site has no influence on this data transmission.

If you visit one of our pages equipped with a YouTube plugin, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. The YouTube server is informed which of our pages you have visited.
If you are logged into your YouTube account, you allow YouTube to associate your surfing behavior directly with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.
The use of YouTube is in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offers. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO.
For more information on how we handle user data, please see YouTube's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.

Social Media Plugins
Social media plugins from Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Xing are integrated into the SUST website on various pages and links to the social networks are set. The social media plugins and links are identified by the respective icons of the networks.
When calling up a social media network via a plugin or reference, a direct connection is established with the server of the social media provider. Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Xing record the respective website from which their services were accessed. If a user of the SUST website is registered with one of the providers and logged in at that time, the access to the website can be associated with his or her user account.
The social media providers Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Xing do not provide any information about what specific information is collected during the use of their plugins. SUST therefore has no knowledge of the content, scope and use of the data collected by Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Xing. Users can read more detailed information on this in the privacy policies of the social media providers. The corresponding data protection provisions of the social media networks used by SUST can be found under the following links:
Meta: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/?entry_point=data_policy_redirect&entry=0
LinkedIn: https://de.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy?
Twitter: https://twitter.com/de/privacy
Users who do not consent to the collection of personal data on the SUST website by a social media provider can deactivate the plugins in their browser. To avoid being connected to an existing user account, users must log out before visiting the SUST website.
