Cruel festival !

June 2023

What is unimaginable for us is a popular tradition elsewhere:
Already since 2009 the annual dog meat festival takes place in the Chinese city of Yulin always towards the end of June. Especially for this festival, around 10,000 dogs are caught from the street, "temporarily stored" in small cages under undignified conditions and finally killed with unimaginably brutal methods before they are eaten.
Even though it is a very emotional topic, which understandably causes great horror, we ask you to refrain from racist comments.
Instead, make your displeasure known in the right place! Write to the Chinese ambassador in Switzerland and ask him to work for the abolition of this cruel festival!
