Social work for animals

March 2024

As part of our SUST Social Work for Animals (SOFT), we regularly conduct free consultations for animals belonging to individuals affected by poverty at several locations in Switzerland. Pet ownership comes with responsibility. Therefore, in the SUST consultations, treatments are provided wherever possible, but at significantly reduced costs.

As you can see in the pictures, we had some clients with extreme signs of breeding-related suffering. That's precisely why these consultations are an excellent opportunity to educate people about important animal welfare issues, especially concerning breeding-related problems. The gratitude of the owners for the opportunity to discuss and exchange information was accordingly significant. These owners are also very interested in the welfare of their animals but often simply don't know the extent of suffering caused by these extreme breeding practices.

The team from wintivets AG, Dr. med. vet. Alexandra Döbeli and TPA Leila Muratti treated 16 animals - a big thank you to EVERYONE who made these consultations possible! You can find more pictures of the veterinary consultation in Kollbrunn here: Facebook

Here are the dates for the upcoming consultations:

Wil (SG): April 11, 2024

Biel: April 23, 2024

Chur: May 3, 2024

Schaffhausen: May 30, 2024
