OceanCare also introduces itself and its work to the animal welfare market:
"Every year, around nine million tons of plastic waste end up in the oceans. About 20% of the garbage comes from ships, the rest is transported from the mainland via sewers and rivers, by wind drift or entry via the beaches into the sea. We want to bring our campaigns and projects against plastic waste closer to as many people as possible, because everyone is part of the solution".
Besides the lecture "Plastics Crisis in the Oceans", which will be held by Rahel Beck from 13h00 to 13h25, OceanCare offers products for sale, which help to reduce the consumption of disposable plastics.
