The SUST social work for animals is also presented at the animal welfare market:
The Susy Utzinger Animal Welfare Foundation works with street work, animal boards, social services and integration projects throughout Switzerland and supports these animal owners at various levels:
Food deliveries: The SUST supplies animal feed to its partners for free distribution to animal owners affected by poverty.
Veterinary care: The SUST veterinarians are regularly at various locations in Switzerland. During these missions, first aid is provided and animals are treated, vaccinated and dewormed.
Castrations: The SUST covers the costs for dog and cat neutering at its partner veterinarians.
Material charges: The SUST supplies animal utensils to its partners in Switzerland so that these materials can be given free of charge to marginalised pet owners.
Education and prevention: With its well-founded expertise, the SUST (or the SUST team of veterinarians during consultation hours) informs pet owners about topics relevant to animal protection by means of brochures or in personal discussions, thus helping to avoid dangerous situations for the animals.
