Many children have a natural curiosity about animals. But not all of them grow up in an environment where they learn to respect animals and treat them with respect. So it is not surprising that even today "animal welfare" is still a foreign word for many children.
In order to sensitize school children to this comprehensive topic, a SUST teacher (primary school teacher / therapeutic school teacher) visits school classes from cycle 1 to 3 (from 2nd grade) on request and reports on the everyday life of the Susy Utzinger Foundation and its far-reaching and sustainable animal welfare work in a child-friendly way with numerous pictures and videos.
This encourages children to think for themselves, draw adequate conclusions and take meaningful steps for the benefit of the animal. These visits are free of charge for schools.
If desired, the teacher can be accompanied by a trained therapy dog.
