We met the bitch for the first time, when she was castrated for free. She had had puppies several times, and the people in the neighbourhood had a hard time finding good places for the young dogs, who had not died of diseases or been run over.
Now she had to come back because of several tumors. Everyone around the block keeps calling us and worrying about her well-being. It is touching that so many people look after her.
In our hospital she had her tumors removed free of charge. For the next few weeks she will be receiving special treatment so that we are sure that everything will be fine when she returns. She is a street dog, but she gets a lot of support - from all those who take care of her, feed her, drive her to us, from ourselves who give her medical care and from you who make this whole project happen and keep it running.
The Susy Utzinger Animal Welfare Foundation finances veterinary costs, clinic equipment, medicines, operations, therapies, food and care in the five animal orphan hospitals.
